Keyshawn’s recent online activity signals his continued focus on securing a championship opportunity against Haney, especially after being elevated to the premier position in the WBO’s welterweight category on May 28.

Devin currently holds the WBO welterweight championship, yet there has been scant indication that a bout with Keyshawn is his immediate objective. Much of the discourse surrounding Haney in recent months has concentrated on potential encounters with Shakur Stevenson and Ryan Garcia, both of which would undeniably constitute significant events.

This situation has not deterred Keyshawn from publicly advocating for this prospect.

The undefeated challenger has frequently expressed his keenness to confront Haney and now appears to be contemplating the magnitude of the event as well. His most recent communication garnered attention because it bypassed initial discussions and fight announcements, jumping directly to a conclusion: that a clash with Haney would be boxing’s most significant contest of the year.

This projection echoed sentiments recently voiced by Lamont Roach Jr., who spoke of defeating Shakur Stevenson, delivering a ‘Fight of the Year’ caliber performance, and subsequently capitalizing on a lucrative return match. Similar to Roach, Keyshawn seems sufficiently confident in the outcome to begin visualizing what transpires beyond the actual fight.

Whether Devin shares this particular outlook remains ambiguous.

Keyshawn persistently champions the matchup, while Haney has, as of yet, provided little in the way of a public acknowledgement.
