Former UFC standout Nate Diaz and Dillon Danis traded barbs on social media following Danis’ eleventh-hour withdrawal from Duel Arena 1.
The return of Dillon Danis to Mixed Martial Arts was derailed during the week of Duel Arena 1. Originally scheduled to face BKFC and UFC veteran Mike Perry in the main event, Danis pulled out of the matchup just days before the event due to a severe arm injury.
This latest cancellation adds to a history of late-stage fight withdrawals for Danis over the past few years. He previously backed out of scheduled bouts against influencer KSI and Anthony Taylor under the Misfits Boxing banner.
Following his latest exit from a card, Danis faced heavy criticism from both fans and analysts. Among those taking shots was former UFC star Nate Diaz, who seized the opportunity to mock the controversial competitor.

Diaz took to social media to react to the news of Danis’ withdrawal.
“Massive coward [LAUGHS],” Diaz wrote online shortly after news of the cancellation spread.
Danis hit back with an explicit tirade aimed at the former UFC star.
“A talking punching bag is all you are. You rejected multiple million-dollar offers to share the cage with me, so shut your mouth before I come to Stockton to slap you and the brother you abandoned,” Danis replied to Diaz.
“That is exactly why security is always keeping you two apart. Traitorous coward.”
There is a long-standing feud between Diaz and Danis. As a longtime training partner of Conor McGregor, Danis has frequently clashed online with Diaz over the last few years.
The rivalry nearly became physical when they crossed paths at a UFC event at Madison Square Garden in 2024. Both individuals were escorted out of the arena before the confrontation could escalate further.
Diaz competed in MMA earlier this year, suffering a defeat against Mike Perry on the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card. If both fighters are interested, a future clash between Danis and Diaz could potentially be arranged.
